Musician Scholarship
The Good Foundation Inc. is a small private Canadian foundation, started in 1974 by the late Milton and Verna Good. It distributes funds to charitable organizations in communities of which family members are a part. We are grateful for their support in creating this $5,000 scholarship to help with music study and performance activities.
criteria
This scholarship is available to students in senior high school – Grade 12 or already in a post -secondary program. Candidates would need to apply for this award and be evaluated by Joy Schuster -Concertmaster and/or Sabatino Vacca- Conductor with an audition as part of the process. The award would be for 1- year but applicants could apply in subsequent years. Successful applicants would need to demonstrate excellent musical skills and be good students.

The scholarship will be awarded for $5,000, to be used for tuition, music lessons, travel and associated educational expenses.
The winner will be announced at a CSO Board meeting and also at CSO concerts. The winner would be informed prior to the announcement. We would offer the recipient a chance to perform with the CYO, if they are not already members.
