school outreach
The CSO has had the privilege of providing a variety of education and community programs in Cambridge thanks to generous grants and sponsorships.
We are committed to building our community through the power of music and enriching the lives of children and families through music education programmes.
The formation of our very own youth orchestra is quite a milestone for us and witness to our educational outreach efforts.
school concert
In 2019, the Cambridge Youth Orchestra performed for over 400 local grade 7 & 8 students at the Hamilton Family Theatre. Students were able to learn about different Composers from Sabatino Vacca, the Music Director and Conductor of the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra.
school visits
Our Music Director and several musicians from the CSO attended 3 Cambridge schools this year, where students assembled to learn about the world of orchestral music. CSO musicians played their instruments and children asked questions gaining an appreciation and understanding of orchestral music.
klassical kids
A fun filled Klassical Kids presentation was held at “The Cambridge Center for the Arts“ where parents, grandparents and kids joined Sabatino Vacca the Music Director of the CSO along with orchestra musicians, as they demonstrated different instruments. During the interactive program children were able to play a musical instrument and see what it’s like to make music with a cello, trumpet and tuba!
